Born in Tokyo. Misako's interest in art took firm hold after she won 1st prize at a drawing contest creatively entitled, "Leapfrogging with Friends"! Misako started focusing on art in high school and entered Tokyo Geidai University, graduating in 1986. She later pursued teaching certification in the 5-Day Right Brain Drawing technique at the University of California. Misako started teaching with Kristin 8 years ago and now teaches both the Right Brain Drawing and Color Perceptions workshops at RBR, solo or in tandem with Kristin. Together they are working to create a unique Level II Color Workshop and are hoping to publish an accompanying book on color for the Japanese market.
