Joei Lau
Marketing and Art Director
Born and educated in Hong Kong. Joei started off her career in Asian Equities but continuously dabbled in many different art forms until she fell in love with Western Calligraphy in 1995. Joei studied calligraphy and logo design under world-class artists - Thomas Ingmire, Dave Wood and Kohei Miura - and later graduated from the prestigious Musashino Arts University following her major in Hong Kong University. While continuing to pursue her master’s degree in Communication Design at Musashino, Joei tirelessly organized and promoted successful art exhibitions, her talents of graphic and computer skills for varies development in websites, design and planning for all sorts of promotional projects and materials.
Despite her myriad responsibilities as RBR Marketing and Art Director, Joei still finds the energy to share her passion for visual journaling, book making and calligraphy in her workshops and group projects, both in Japan and overseas. Joei is also fluent in Cantonese, English, Japanese. Most of her recent creations can be found at HERE.
